Bitcoin is an open protocol where everyone has the same rights. I can't understand why a government would ever create such thing if they wanted to somehow lure people into CBDCs.
Internet was this beautiful thing 30 years ago. Fast forward today, it's still beautiful for anyone with good intentions, but it's also a mass surveillance scheme and a gigantic free speech censorship machine.
First harmless and beautiful, eventually painful when enough power grab has been achieved through mass adoption.
In the case of BTC, it could have been created as a so called positive thing for humanity, but with the intent of getting the masses used to the idea of crypto currencies, slowly making the use of CBDCs possible for central banks, thus allowing them the perfect escape from the traditional financial system on the verge of implosion, as well as absolute China-like-control (building on top of the already existing internet control).
All of it would have never been possible without the slow momentum building of internet first, then BTC and the cryptomarket.
Yes, it's a possible scenario. I'm just saying that it's unlikely to be true. Internet isn't the same thing with Bitcoin. The internet was censored since the very beginning. It's pretty clear that the TCP/IP protocol isn't free. You can't have the same rights your internet provider has. But, in Bitcoin you do. Everyone's the same rights.
Great insights as always, thanks
Much appreciated... thank you.
Thanks bro
Nice and easy 😁👍
Very promising indeed, but I have to play devil's advocate :
Could BTC (and crypto as a whole) have been brought by the same ones who brought the internet, thus allowing even more control ?
Could it just be a bait to lure people into CBDCs before being shut down like a fisherman closes his net on fish ?

Just a thought.
