Thanks, indeed an very important megatrend. BTW global population is another factor, expected to grow from 8 to 10 B people.

30 years is a long time frame, could you put an approximate BTC price range for in 10 years?

There are several ways to give reasonable estimates of where Bitcoin will be in 10 years.

Something we looked at last year was the reasonable range of annualized returns Bitcoin could sustain over a period of 5 to 10 years (based on what it did in the past, what similar large cap stocks have done in the past, ...).

The result was that BTC could easily go from $20k to ~$300k in 10 years. For reference that would put Bitcoin at a market cap between that of financial gold and physical gold which is a perfectly reasonable range.

Note that this method assumes the bull case for Bitcoin of course. But within the bull case it asks what reasonable numbers you can get.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, makes sense. Do you mean 20 or 200k? The first would be lower than now, ie maybe a typo?

Sorry, my sentence is not very clear, let me reformulate.

The reasonable target at 10 years is approximately $300k.

What I was trying to say is that a very reasonable growth rate for BTC will turn a Bitcoin valued at approximately $20k today into a Bitcoin worth approximately $300k in 10 years.

Hope this clarifies what I meant.

Thanks a lot for clarifying. Sorry reading your sentence again it was pretty clear, must have had a lapse not getting it.
